Perfect day weather wise for walking, with cool temperature and all day sunshine.
Starting from the Denby Church car park, the route took us through pastures and woodlands, dotted with grazing sheep.
We passed by a number of small farm buildings and isolated dwellings.
A truly great day out terminating with a meal and pint at the Denby Lodge.

Organized, and controlled throughout by Mark. The walk circumnavigating the lake at Clumber Park, 7.2 km, and included a coffee break half way around.  Sausage rolls and mince pies  were brought along.
Altogether a well organized and enjoyable day out, and what better way to finish, a pint and meal at the pub in Edwinstowe.

Only one photo for this, the excitement got a bit much for them.

At least they kept their shirts.!! (I think)

AFTERNOON TEA AT FELLY PRIORY (September)

Our first visit to Felley Priory tea rooms was a very enjoyable experience.

The tables looked lovely and the sandwiches, scones and cakes were very good indeed.

Little extra’s, like fresh salad to dress the assorted sandwiches, with bowls of crisps, coleslaw, chutney, mayonnaise and dressing to accompany them.

The scones were presented with fresh strawberries and plenty of cream and jam in individual pots.

The cakes were also presented with fresh orange slices (twisted) and strawberry and kiwi pieces to decorate the plate.

All this with plenty of tea and coffee, served by very friendly staff.

The venue does not have a drinks licence but they are happy to supply glasses on request. One of the photo’s shows the outside seating area, which also has an undercover section.

This will certainly be a return visit for us.

Afternoon Tea Group.

Here we are enjoying ourselves at the “Corinthian Restaurant” in Nottingham.

We can certainly recommend this venue .

There was a generous selection of sandwiches, freshly made scones, a selection of small cakes, a delicious Posset and came with a pot of tea or cafetiere of coffee each.

All this and white linen and china too. 10/10
